Waiting...

Due to some unforeseen events, the past couple of weeks have been very slow when it comes to www.ebooKarma.com. That is okay though! I have been able to do some great market research.

While slow, the progress has been amazing. We will soon be adding a page called, "Make Money" that will show everybody exactly what they can do to make money from the site. It is truly an opportunity for everybody - not just writers!

Plus, we are in the process of creating a writing contest where the grand prize will be $500! There will be a winner in every category, and the grand prize winner will receive the money. The winner in each category will receive business cards that has their unique link on them so they can give them to people to go and buy their book! (Plus, of course, have the bragging rights!) More on this is definitely coming soon!

Also, we have toyed with this idea and it is a grand one! On www.ebooKarma.com, there is the option for people to review your book. The person with the most reviews each month will receive 80% of their commission instead of the great 50% that is normally given! This one is still in the works, we have to make sure the percentages all work out after affiliate money is paid out.

Affiliate Program Drama

We are trying to set up the affiliate program, but apparently, we don't know how to create a banner. We sure thought we were doing it right - I mean, a JPEG is a JPEG is a JPEG, right?!

Well, after this headache is over, it is going to be a really cool program. Of course, there will be affiliate sales (of 20%), but it also involves purchasing some very inexpensive business cards that will have the affiliates url on them. This way, all cards will look the same, we will have a unified front being presented to the world, and everybody will win!

In the future (soon I hope, but who knows with this pain) we will provide a 2-tier affiliate program, where affiliate "A" can refer affiliate "B", and get 10% of their sales total as well! WHOO-HOO!

And, after that, http://www.ebookarma.com/ will be introducing the membership portion of our site where all of our authors, affiliates, and business people can join (for a small fee each month) and learn from each other. You know what is awesome about that?

I am so very excited about http://www.ebookarma.com/! Not only will this fulfil what I, personally, have been searching for, it will give everybody the opportunity to fulfil their dreams and even make money. Yes, make money!

A few months back, I was relentlessly searching for a way to help other people make money, and it has finally come to me. Not only has it come, it is rushing in like a wave! I keep getting more and more ideas on how everybody can profit from ebooKarma.com, either from:

• Writing and selling their book(s)
• Doing "side" work with ghostwriting, graphic design, proofreading, etc.
• Being an affiliate (for author sales, ad sales, and later on membership sales)
• etc.... and more to come!

I just have to figure out how the whole website actually "works". How to make it all fall seamlessly together. Ug. I hate that part!
